Nearly 4 years after the release of ‘City Ghosts’, The Modern Grass are back on the scene with their fourth studio album, ‘Payday’. Payday is an homage to the simplicity and modesty of traditional music and living, Modern Grass style. This colorful and polarized collection of original and traditional songs taps into the rich vein of North American roots music, songwriting and musicianship. Payday features a special cast of guest musicians, curated not only for their sounds but for their critical places in the lineage of roots music.
