Celtic Colours; Calum’s Forest: A Guided Walk

Saturday October 7th – 10:00AM-11:00AM

Enjoy a gentle, exploratory guided walk through the first phase of the Calum’s Forest project on the grounds of the art centre. A reading from Frank Macdonald’s story “A Forest for Calum” will give visitors background into the inspiration for the plantings: a series of trees representing different letters of the Gaelic alphabet which spell out an inspirational Gaelic phrase. The tour will also cover the traditional attributes of the trees as well as their Gaelic names. You may want to reserve a ticket for Luncheon at the Arts Centre to follow this event, served up prior to the afternoon matinee concert, Pipes, Fiddles and Song: Pìobaireachd, Fìdhlearachd agus Òrain Also, while on site, be sure to check out the exhibit in the gallery space Textile Journeys: Helene Blanchet, Anne Morrell Robinson, Adrienne Yorinks
