Within Inverness County, Family Place Resource Centre offers parents, caregivers, and children an opportunity to come together and share the joys and challenges of parenting. They also offer support services to families during the prenatal period through both group programs and home visiting programs. Services continue to be offered to parents and caregivers with children from birth to 6 years. As well as working within their budget to provide whatever support possible to help with child care and transportation costs. All Family Place programs are free of charge.
Some of the services and programs offered include: Prenatal Programs, Breast Feeding Support, Baby Talk, a whole variety of parent education programs, Play Groups, Ready to Learn, Read with Me, Sensory Play, Tumble Bugs, Music and Movement and home visiting programs.
